Var debate 2019/20

A Premier League statement said: "The VAR checked the penalty appeal for handball against Trent Alexander-Arnold and confirmed the on-field decision that it did not meet the considerations for a deliberate handball."

PL have issued a statement to clarify TTA handball stating VAR team felt it didnt meet criteria for deliberate handball

They havnt released a statement to clarify Liverpool scored a goal from an attack initiated by TTA accidental handball

As that accidental handball would of course led to the Liverpool goal being disallowed for the accidental handball.

David Ellerary recently confirmed that Jesus disallowed goal v Spurs following Laporte accidental handball although

a legal goal to the actual wording of the law should have been disallowed because when the law was introduced the

intention of the law was NO goal should be allowed whenever opposition handles the ball prior to goal being awarded.

Wonder what he thinks to this one?

How come VAR managed to decide the best line for Salah with§in 20 seconds? Pretty obvious where the line went for Stones’ toe, however yesterday we saw how it took 4 minutes to sort the Sheff United one, so how come it was so easy today? They haven’t done a decent line on Salah’s knee, it’s a fucking joke, it really is.

Said this at the time. Yesterday they went back 2 phases of play and took 4 minutes to draw the lines and watch it over and over. Today? Quick look, yeh that's fine, goal.

The ridiculous thing is that it shouldn’t be offside, as in my opinion that should be classed as level and advantage to attacker, however that’s not the way it’s being implemented this season.

One question and I doubt anyone will answer this well, but might as well ask it:

= Lets imagine it was an ACCIDENTAL handball by Alexander Arnold.... fair enough no penalty to city...but Liverpool then scored. I seem to remember when we scored vs spurs in last minute our goal was ruled off as even tho Laporte accidentally handled it , any hands by an attacking team rules it out. So... why wasn't their goal ruled off on that basis given it started the attack?

Would love to see how they'd squirm out of that one. Blatant corruption.

This is true. 22 seconds from the handball to them scoring. It’s fucking bent and the PL have the cheek to investigate us. Who investigates them?

I thought they had put this to bed with the diagram showing a man with his arms by his side, anything other than this is a penalty.

OBVIOUSLY NOT.
