Football isn't a serious sport any more. VAR has turned it into Tiddlywinks. (Sorry Tiddlywinks fans, that was a bit harsh on your respectable sport) @BlueHammer85
There was a good few dubious offside goals/ no goals but I didn't care.
We'd have got a penalty if it was being used.*How fucking great today - no VAR shit. No wanking around thinking a goal might be chalked off.
"Seems" to work well. That is the problem. It looks nice and is relatively quick, but how do we know it's accurate? Who knows how it actually works? And I don't mean FPS, the number of data points, the frequency of data and other PR guff. I mean how do they actually determine an off-side? A nice picture doesn't mean anything to me unless I know how it's created.
Its explain hereIt's a good point. The fact that the Premier League wouldn't let micro chips be put into the ball is shady as because that lets the powers that be know when the ball has been kicked, which is pretty important in deeming if a player is offside or not.
I didn't know the the tech was Adidas, so that makes sense with the animosity that exists historically between Puma and Adidas. Its explain here

Semi-automated offside technology: What you need to know
Ahead of semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) being used in the Premier League this weekend, here is more information as to how it will workwww.premierleague.com
The PL ball sponsor is Puma therefore the Adidas patented technology, as used by FIFA, for the sensor in the ball wasnt possible
The kick point (KP) is determined by the SAOT using the 30 high speed cameras, suggested to VAR who can over rule it the 3D image is generated by the software once confirmed by VAR
Some strange images have been shown like the position of Dias in the Newcastle goal allowed against City was this because they manipulated the KP?
The Spanish Supercup final I assumed used Adidas balls as the VAR computer Sims were almost instant. Its explain here

What’s this “tolerance” bollocks? Making it up as they go along.
La Liga use Puma balls probably they trust the software and aren’t looking to manipulate it dare I say like in the PLThe Spanish Supercup final I assumed used Adidas balls as the VAR computer Sims were almost instant.
It used to be such a simple game. None of us asked for this shit. Its explain here

Spot on and it was so good to watch games this weekend live and on Tv knowing no VARIt used to be such a simple game. None of us asked for this shit.
I knew that, but if China can copy western cars, give them slightly different names and get away with it, then why can't Puma rip open an Adidas ball and copy but slightly alter their "patented" chip technology? The PL ball sponsor is Puma therefore the Adidas patented technology, as used by FIFA, for the sensor in the ball wasnt possible
I’m sure that Adidas have framed the patent such that’s it difficult to replicate without the copiers facing a lawsuit there is already enough bad blood between them and Puma, also would PL want to get involved they have enough of legal fees as it isI knew that, but if China can copy western cars, give them slightly different names and get away with it, then why can't Puma rip open an Adidas ball and copy but slightly alter their "patented" chip technology?
