I understand, specifically the NFL style announcements which I abhor. I would just point out that video review as a concept might be seen as an American creation, however in American circles, it was largely seen as an attack on American institutions. As far as what is seen as an American influence (something negative) compounds the problem because it redirects the blame to people who are not in control, and takes it off the people who are. American sports have also been harmed by video review and the kind of rule changes that have gone along with it, whether it's NFL/NCAA or other American sports, whether it's football. It's all wrong and we shouldn't act like Americans "support" VAR or even video replay in their sports. They don't, in much the same way that we don't support VAR in football invading and disrespecting our sports, they don't like seeing what happened to their sports by the same kind of agenda.
America might have Donald Trump and the World Cup this year, but as a Footballing country, they are not involved in any of this. American influence has not, even remotely, caused what happened to football. What happened to football was an agenda put into motion by FIFA and accepted by local and national football authorities as the way forward. By framing it as an American influence, you're suggesting that America is somehow running World Football or making decisions related to VAR or the LOTG. They're not. Football is being run by FIFA and its European partners, not by America. Not by Yanks.
Influence influencing is like your posts utter babble rubbish!
