VAR Discussion Thread

Clearly there's a need to rewrite the rules to at least allow retrospective action again in clear cut cases. VAR is getting major decisions wrong every week, and whilst not ideal at least retrospective action gives a chance to rebalance the scales.
The only thing that needs changing is Howard Webb. He needs to be sacked tomorrow morning.

It all coincided with the rags suddenly becoming successful. The old first division was gone, and in its place, a new shiny one called the Premier League. Add to the mixture that unscrupulous Aussie bastard, Murdoch, and his satellite TV, and an 'understanding' that this new league should have new winners every 6 years or whatever it was, and it was the perfect storm for the corruption to begin and the red cartel to immediately benefit from it.

Wait until next season. The rags haven't been given the Prem for a long time. See what Webb and his cloak-and-dagger cronies have in store for fans of non-red cartel members...it'll be fucking Armageddon!
That’s right. It’s almost like this season was a proof of concept. If they can get away with an obvious red for Dalot and clear handball goals then nothing is off the table next season

The softening up process in full swing with City providing a perfect punch bag for their schemes.

Filthy oil club needs to be put in its place.

Straight red all day, just like rudiger wannabes against us
Ref looking directly at the incident as well, should have been the easiest call he's ever made. So both him looking directly at it, and VAR with numerous camera angles deemed that it is not a red? I'm sorry, but I'm unashamedly in the "it is bent" camp now.

How is this season any different, the bias is there every season.?
In most seasons we are so good the bias is overwhelmed, last season we were crap because injuries decimated the team, this season we have been double tapped with the ref not seeing anything to VAR not seeing anything, 9 points since Christmas Newcastle, utd Tottenham, Forest and Everton. Arsenal have gained 4 points the same way Brighton, and West Ham. PGMOL have miss used the rules, put in grey areas and used VAR to validate mistakes by the ref or linesmen exactly when did PGMOL discard the semi automated offside.

The gunners have probably benefited from var this season and will have a massive asterisk next to their name if they the PL this season just like the scousers in 2019 with covid

What gets me is how VAR match officials and the referees can fuck up so badly in the modern game.
It's like the fake UFO videos that are always captured on a shitty phone camera ? VAR have the most up-to-date cameras with the technology to review a call, but you get a shitting replay or a dodgy AI capture from a computer

The Game is bent, they are blowing smoke up the arse of the red scum clubs to get a result that suits them
Why does nobody call it out and just take this shit week in week out

probably the most farcical decisions for me was the ...haaland heel offside against newcastle......explanation ? " semi auto offside didnt work because there were too many bodies in the box!!!!!!!" so it went to var who failed to draw a line or see that Erl was being held , and the made up Dias cartoon jumping in the air to allow their goal

But why didn't City call it out ? Somebody from the club should be asking questions ?

Last night offside with Haaland being flagged straight away, then no Bournemouth players flagged
Pep was all over it with the 4th official, Pep should have made a real fuss about it in the post-match interview
