VAR Discussion Thread

I get that technically VAR had to review that and call the ref over, but he could, no should, have stuck by his decision. There is no way he didn't see what went on in real time - how did Haaland go from in front to suddenly behind? How did Szoboslai then end up on the floor?

Nothing else was going on, nothing else for the ref to watch. He saw it, he didn't need to change his mind.

How does the sending off benefit City, we don't play Liverpool again in the league.

So now if a player sees ball going to his goal all he has to do is kick hard an opposition player, get a red card and give a free kick to opposition instead.

VAR will screw City over today, again, right in front of everyone's eyes they will redefine the incident and call it a fair decision. It will go against City again.

I think they screwed us over first half when they spent approximately 3 seconds checking if Marmoush had been fouled by Konate.

Konate put his leg across him and pulled him over it.

Stop thinking that they are targeting us, they arent, they are just woefully inadequate

You're probably right. However, I do think they are less afraid of giving a wrong decision against us than they are of giving a wrong decision against the media favourites.

When was the last time a goal was disallowed and the ball brought back for a free kick to the attacking team?

At least they’re being creative in finding new ways to screw us!
Actually screwed Liverpool as they now have their best player suspended

Didn’t affect the result. Now if it had been 1-1 at the time it would be different

The “foul” on marmoush wasnt even looked at , gary fuckin neville said,”itd be hard to give that in front of the kop”. What???? Why?

And there lies the problem
Refs have become shit bags, and var are a mess
