VAR Thread - 2021/22

Watching the eng v aus game and their Tmo is absolutely brilliant, ref just gave a penalty to aus, tmo stops him before it’s taken and says let me show you this on the screen, foul tackle by aus, decision reversed in 20 secs with full transparency.

Oliver is notorious for the NON-DECISION!

Give the corner, that way you are SAYING the defender touched the ball. Not giving the pen removes the serious scrutiny of “changing the game.”

As for the notion that if you touch the ball you can’t be fouling someone, unless it’s violent conduct…HAHA!!! Good one!

Absolute twaddle mate.
And you know it.
It was a Penalty.
And Oliver twist knew it.
It was the slightest of touches. If the defender's foot hadn't touched Jesus he would have kept his balance and would have brought the ball under control in microseconds - so for me it should have been a penalty because the defender prevented a goal scoring opportunity.
Takes off blue glasses and goes for a drink.

Totally agree. The touch from the defender was nowhere near enough to dispossess Jesus, and the follow through prevented either a shot or a pass across the box for a tap in.

Have a look at the Gibraltar red card v Turkey. A very strange decision. This kind of thing is somewhat disturbing.
No no no, footballs not bent and it is even better now we have var. The officials can review a poor decision and correct it. How many penalties have Liverpool had.

Sorry but as he has self banned I thought I would pretend he was still here.
