No.

Not the usual lines coming from above, the crossed curser moving all over the place marking the extremity of the attacker and defender etc etc.

Decision made in about 15 seconds.

Had a few beers but that's the way I saw it!
Is that the Rashford goal? I was convinced it was off in real time, but pretty sure it was onside.

It looked offside at first as they were both clear against the line in the grass. But the angle is confusing as Rashford is much closer to the camera. When they showed the lines the defender was leaning forward towards his own goal, which put his head just beyond Rashford's foot.

Perspective does make it hard to see at times. People seem to struggle with it.

If this is the new way forward then why haven't I heard anything about it until tonight? Unless I have missed something that told us about the "tolerance"

The tolerance level was brought in before the start of last season. I can’t answer why you haven’t heard about it but it was discussed at length on numerous football shows that I watched at the start of last season.

The fucking 'tolerance' level??

How ironic that this word is being used where this shit show is concerned. Its gone a long way towards ruining the game, and,i suspect, the vast majority would see it fucked off in a heartbeat.

They should be a bit more transparent and rename it the 'manipulation' level.

Cunts.

If you genuinely cannot see the difference between someone jumping to head a ball and Trippier there is little point in discussing it.
As stated in other posts afterwards, it was to show that having two feet off the ground does not necessarily mean someone is out of control.

Big difference between a jump and a lunge
Just shows the lengths of stupidity some people will go to, to try and make their point relevant. Jumping for a ball and lunging at a player knee high is like comparing apples to oranges. Two totally different things. Whatever floats their boat I suppose. I give up with them all.

There are far easier ways to measure if somebody is actually offside or onside instead of pissing about with lines.
You insert a microchip into the players boots and also one in the ball and that’s it,
If the attacking players boot is beyond the defending players boot , you’re offside, simple!

Where in the boot do you place the chip? Players are not always facing the same way and a big forwards size 12 and a CBs could result in a larger error than we have now.

You are now using the words that commentators use. If they replaced told to go to the screen to advised to take another look to see the other camera angles of the incident.

As I suggested before, if more decisions were sent to the monitor and the ref had the final say, I think most people would be happier.
I remember when we played Spuds in the Champs league semi. Not all angles were made available to the referee when Spuds scored with a goal line handball.
VAR is open to corruption as it is still about interpretation.
I wanted VAR to come in as the scousers were falling over themselves regularly to win penalties but they were still getting them the season after.
