this is great, im quite advanced on photoshop but what techniques have you used here mate?

Cheers mate.

For the lightning I just cut different parts out from various pictures, then used layer mask; same with the clouds. Then the blue tint I just put the brush on a low opacity. Simples :).

Got any tips where I could improve?
