There is one person at my office and no matter what the conversation her vegan diet will take precedent some how.

I have noticed this becoming more and more front and centre in the wider world, Vegans are almost religious in their blind devotion to their cause. Vegetarians I get, Vegans are depressing and angry all the time.

Where is @MellowJoe ?? He fought a good defence of it in the last vegan thread, that was only here in November and could easily have been bumped.

I banned him as he didn't meat the required standard.

This nonsense about veggies / vegans always going on about it.... it is bollocks..... we have to mention it as usually when meeting people it revolves around food / beer... so yes we do have to mention it!
What I don't get is why so many people are really taken back aggressively when hearing someone is a veggie / vegan. Especially in Florida. And if they are hunters.
I was out somewhere just after Xmas and someone in the party heard me asking for the bean burger and fuck me, the response was as if I had ransacked his home and stole his cash, jewelry and car. Just because I didn't order buffalo wings.....

The aggression is always from meat eaters as is evident every time someone starts a thread on it,it's baffling,i bet very few of them even know a vegan

It's all that red meat, makes us aggressive :)

Vegetarian I could just about cope with. The problem for me with a Vegan diet is that it is so restrictive, and makes it quite hard to have a balanced and healthy diet too. just a step too far for me.

Some vegetables aren't allowed to be eaten in a vegan diet it can be scarily strict.
