Vegetarianism

This is how to kill your meat

I always find it amazing that some people are so addicted to meat they feel put out if someone gives them a meal without any meat in it. A meal without meat isn't necessarily a deliberate vegetarian thing, of all the things we can eat meat is a pretty small section.

Open your minds, broaden your horizons. Meals without meat are no less a meal.

I'm not a vegetarian but don't eat much meat because there are loads of other things we can eat which are tastier, healthier, cheaper and better for the environment.

I can't think of any meal I have had since adulthood that hasn't contained either meat or fish. Apart from egg on toast.

I said meal. I used to carry an emergency pot noodle in the cab in case I found myself in the middle of nowhere, but rarely had to resort to it.
Pot Noodles are the equivalent of Dwarf Bread from the Discworld novels.

Rock-hard (and indeed contains various rocks such as gravel), never goes stale, and is terribly sustaining. A traveller can go for miles, just knowing there's dwarf bread in their pack. A traveller can think of just about anything to eat rather than dwarf bread including their own foot
