I bloody hope so. I still like the Garry Cook approach to media.

Maybe we need both types; Kloss for strategy and a gobby, aggressive twat to put out the fires that the dickheads in the rag media keep lighting. I still feel we need to show some balls and be as aggressive and threatening as possible to shut these cûnts up whilst still playing the long game behind the scenes.

I don't like to see my club tarnished and abused while we say nothing back. We should defend ourselves against the bullshit speculation and outright lies from Sky, the Mail, Talksport, et al. We need to employ our own gobshites to fight theirs. Utd and Liverpool are full of them and get almost no negative press in general. I assume PSG must be the same as they get away with spending what they want.
 
It’s not Vicky she doesn’t even come to the press conference. Not sure on the guys name but he’s always beside pep at the conferences? Is it Simon?

I need to know fuck all about the inner workings of the club to tell you our PR in the U.K. has failed abysmally. The clue is the deafening roar of negativity you get every single day and I don’t just mean in times of crisis. We have had years to turn this round. Is it getting better or worse?
 
Vicky is fighting a battle that can’t be won. Her rivals, the media, are controlled by the enemy are supporters of the establishment PL “big4” they see us as the interlopers who have wrecked the cosy establishment and they are out to get us. Then the human rights journalists who again see us as the enemy Put this altogether with the fact that any negative City story gets more clicks than positive ones, it’s clicks that makes the publications money. The owners don’t want confrontation in the media they demand the club is welcoming, this is the way they are. All this makes Vicky’s job nearly impossible. The perception is she doesn’t work hard enough and isn’t good at her job, a poster above talks of how well she is respected in the PR industry and I know, through a connection, that she works her absolute socks off. She is as big a City fan as you could be as well and is hurting as much as the rest of us. So it’s time that she was cut some slack and we appreciated the tireless work that she does because, her bosses do hence why she has been given numerous promotions. We have no media friends the odd positive from the true professionals but no fan-boys like Stone or Ogden

At the risk of repeating myself again you like me and thousands of other Blues have NO idea as to the workings of the powers within the corridors of The Etihad.

They could all be members of the defunct Beswick branch of NALGO! Not A Lot Going On! Whether the club is proactive in refuting and challenging the shite that comes our way and pursuing the shitehawks who peddle it, it will be a story that the RDAHUEFAMeedya will treat in the same way as they have with the activity of HackersFC rifling our servers.

No it indicates that they have almost to a man and organisation taken a stance that generates the most views, clicks and revenue.

They are infested with supporters of clubs we have pushed to one side domestically.

Put it this way. What have our PR people done to piss them off an make enemies?

Apart from choosing couple of journos we regularly leak info to, Martin Blackburn Sun, Simon Mullock Mirror, maybe Sam Lee but with the last one we feed him bullshit sometimes as it looks lol, we hardly have anyone else in UK papers.

Ferguson sometimes banned some journos because they wrote badly about a player. he has been boycotting BBC for year etc.

we make these ugly motherfuckers feel like VIP guests who come to Etihad and we do everything to make them feel worthy of their opinions where they drag us trough the mud every single time.

And this is what makes fans very angry. nice approach got us here. Time to try something else.

The primary function of PR is to build a beneficial relationship with the public and customers. Amongst other things it includes responsibility for Media relations.
Nobody said it was an easy job.
You may have answered your own question. Nothing, or at least not enough. Like it or not Journalists and media are 'customers' of PR.

I felt terrible for Sam Lee yesterday listening to him on 9320 podcast, you could hear in his voice that he was absolutely devastated.
