Now that every media outlet , every manager , the vast majority of supporters and other stakeholders except CBlue and a few of his supporters are in favour of video technology being introduced into the game of football when will the authorities bite the bullet and trial the inevitable.

Harry was rightfully livid about the joke of a decision made by Aitkinson who all he can say for himself is he got it horribly wrong ( no cup final for him ever again (LOL).

I reckon it will be introduced next season or at worst the season after.

These decisions are destroying the game as one with a modicum of professionalism which is quite bizarre seeing it is the most watched and most revenue driven game on the planet.

They are getting it not just wrong but horrendously wrong. Goals when it should be a goal kick (FastTrackAttwell), goals when it should be play on, yellow cards for diving when it should be a penalty, penalties when it should be a yellow card for diving. And I don't put it down to just making an honest mistake. Foy on Saturday denied us TWO blatant penalties - the first of which he gratuitously gave Tevez a yellow. No thought, no second thoughts, straight away a yellow, when he could simply, and wirelessly invite a fourth official in the stand and inquire whether or not it was penalty or dive. Head in the sand ostriches! No wonder MANUre win titles! And The Time Lord Atkinson making up for all the goals that had scutted over the line but weren't given . . . . . . . . The refs have a difficult job, no one denies that, and when yer get teams and players who prefer to throw themselves onto the ground rather than shoot at goal, the refs need some assistance which has been available for several seasons. The sooner that oaf Blatter buggers off the better for the whole of football. Never has one man added so little to this game.

Just goal line technology isn't good enough. If we had instant replays then it would definitely hold umpires accountable for their decisions and keep them in check. There is just too much to lose if a major call is called wrong, & too often its just brushed aside as though its nothing when it can be prevented. Whether or not it would ruin the tempo of the game, just implement a limit of how many times you can contest a call like in tennis.

Rugby union and rugby league are both light years ahead of football with the use of video technolog and with hardly any delays. The old argument of things even up over a season is rubbish, as Harry Redknapp will tell you today

^^^^THIS all day long.
It seriously feels like the refs this year have been given orders to balls it up as often as possible in some sort of ploy to get video technology introduced ASAP.

I think the way it has to be brought in is through the fourth official watching the game with quick replays - let the ref make the decisions and then the foutrth official does a quick check if the ref is BLATENTLY wrong then he lets him know and it's overturned.

Will make being at the game interesting as - PEN is given, supporters go wild, 10 secs later it's overturned and attacker gets yellow card, other supportersgo wild and take the mick.

I expect within a short time a lot of the diving would also stop in the box as the players would know whats coming.

Also if there is a off the ball incident then if 4th official seen it - lets ref know game stopped and player sent off immediately or booked at next normal break.

I don't see many down side to video technology

Think the main issue with technology is FIFA and how horribly backwards they are.

If it was down to the Premier League I'm sure we'd have it already, after all it's a business and video technology would be a sound investment

But unless I'm mistaken, it has to be approved by FIFA for use first and that's gonna take years if it ever happens at all.

The only reason it hasn't been introduced already, is because the powers that be love all of the "exciting" moments that are created by incompetent refereeing decisions.
