could also be your download speed mate , may need to change internet plans .

Adobe have recently upgraded Flash so that it runs better on Macs, making better use of mac graphics. I downloaded it today and it is a huge improvement and can now play OS videos without any stop/starting.

Works on these models:

- MacBooks shipped after January 21st, 2009
- Mac Minis shipped after March 3rd, 2009
- MacBook Pros shipped after October 14th, 2008
- iMacs which shipped after the first quarter of 2009

I agree in fact I bet its most likely that your download speed is off.

Have you got SKY+ ?? That might seem a very odd question, but it solved an issue I had with my broadband speed.

Basically if you have SKY+ (we have 2 as we have multiroom) the boxes are plugged in to your phone line, and can interfere with your broadband signal (and phone line).

I use Talktalk for phone and internet, and a week ago my download speed went from 15MB to about 200KB or less. I phoned support who tested the line, and found no obvious problem, so they pushed me up to the second level of support (UK based), and the tech guy had me remove everything form the phone socket, put in a new adsl filter, and then connect just my broadband and test the download speed, hey presto back to 15MB. we then added back each thing, phone ./ , SKY+1 ./ , SKY+2 x back to 200KB.

He reckons there's been a power spike on my phone line, and its knackered one of the connectors, and was causing a severe slowdown in my broadband, so I've now disconnected the offending SKY+ telephone connection, and its fine.

agreed it is most likely your download speed. test it here <a class="postlink" href="http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/</a>

to watch (or steam) video, your computer downloads as much as it thinks it can handle and playback almost instantly, sometimes your download speed is slower than expected and the video will buffer (freeze playback until more of the video is downloaded) then continue to play.
options are to get your speed increased, probably at some cost, or download the entire video and watch it later.
