This would put us into CL contention in my opinion.

We are already in CL contention with our existing squad and certainly don't need any major disruption to demotivate our players. Just wait and see how long it will take Chelsea's new recruits to gel. Also, De Jong and Dzeko should definitely stay.

Three strikers is never enough even if they are three of the best. Dzeko and Balotelli were both out at the same time at one point last season leaving us with only Aguero available. That's unacceptable for a top club, you always have to have strength in depth. At one point last season United had Rooney, Welbeck, Berbatov, Hernandez, Owen, Macheda, Diouf, and Keane all available. Eight forwards. Not saying we should have this many but even if it means taking Louis Saha on a 1-year deal as 4th or 5th choice striker, you need the extra numbers just in case.

I do agree that having 4 is a good idea if we are going use a formation with 2 starting strikers. However, having 4 great strikers is gluttonous. Maybe they are happy atm, but I can't see someone else coming in and the status quo remaining. If one our current batch leave I think Guidetti should be brought it. 3 world class strikers and a good prospect would be balanced IMO.

+1 . I think the whole idea of bringing in a whole new batch of players wouldn't do the team much good . It would be best if either Dzeko or Tevez leaves BUT only on a deal to bring in some other player and from the rumour mills AC MILAN needs some cash plus they have been admirers of Tevez for sometime now so if we can do a Tevez for Thiago Silva deal then that would best .

As for the whole M'Vila thing, i think we are staring at another "Hazard saga" whereby an over-rated greedy french league player flirts with the EPL teams and raises his popularity and value in doing so . This M'Vila guy wouldn't add much to the team . For me the midfielder i would want at city is either Javi Martinez or Kevin prince Boateng.

Madrid have Ronaldo in addition to Benzema and Higuain, who is better than a traditional forward because of the goals he scores. They also have Joselu in the B team who they have started to promote to the first team, he is prolific and now has Arsenal interested in him.
