I've been saying that he shouldn't get a ton of match-time since the beginning, and I'm glad that Mancini seems to agree (has he even played in the league?).

However, I think he was an inspiried buy. Why? Because I think Nigel de Jong has improved leaps and bounds in the past year, and also Yaya since he showed up, and I don't think that it is a coincedence that Viera has been here the whole time for that. that, i think was the plan with Patrick the whole time, and it has worked out perfectly if you ask me.

Definitely. If it's about reputations then we might as well field Mancini, Kidd and Platt... While we're at it, Lombardo wasn't a bad player either.

I don't want to see him playing many more, if any, games for us. Although I reckon we'll see him v Aris... Becoming as much of a liability as Jo. IMHO

Obviously lost a bit of pace, but also doesn't play enough to get match fit. Very lucky to have got away with some of his tackles tonight. I still think he is a top pro and an important member of the squad.

His contribution to the club has been good, maybe he past it but I suspect off field being a mentor to some of the younger lads is probably worth it. We do need a replacement though in the summer.

Wasn't his greatest tonight, but in his previous appearances this season i think he's been pretty good.

Never really played well since he joined, too slow, gives away stupid fouls, doesn't show the experience we apparently signed him for.

Please don't waste a squad number in the 25 next season, we can use it more wisely!

Still a very good deep lying playmaker, but as we all know the legs have gone and he struggles not only with pace but isn't really agile enough to turn quickly or tackle as he'd like to.

I agree 100%! We should get Lassana Diarra from Madrid to replace him. Seems like a top bloke & he works hard but his legs have had it.

Here we go again our fans playing fantasy football. Have said all along that he is now too slow for the English game but his performances in the EL games have been good because the pace is much slower! I have no problems with him lining up on a Thursday night but he should be banned from playing on any other day of the week!

He has been outstanding for us in the europa league this season, he has also been usefull a couple of times when we needed a player to come on late in a game to help us see out the game.

The abuse our own players gets around here is beyond pathetic.
