I thought it was a cracking documentary of like many have days great footballing battles.. Paddy did come across as a nice bloke and always does. He is one of them characters that is good at what he does but his personality on and off the pitch are very different..
Keane on the other hand..I was there at that game and what he did to Alf was wrong.. But after listening to him tonight and the past few years I sort have come to like him. Not him as a person but I do get drawn to characters and have a respect for them. He wants to win and all the time.. He makes a decision in life and sticks by it. If he thinks he is right , he is right. If he thinks he is wrong I think he sort of holds his hands up..
Like where he says " I went in hard , but never my intention to Hurt someone badly" I honestly think he believes that.
Sportsmen and women who are winners are selfish but that's why they are what they are..
Like I say what he did was wrong to Alf but he was a good player who gave his all for his team. I hope we get more players with that attitude playing for the blues in the future .
Agree with everthing you said.
Paddy was a warrior and winner on the pitch but of the pitch very laid back and sweet character.
Roy keane for me is the same animal on and off the pitch. He can be bully and does not understand enough when he done things wrong. But you admire his passion for the game, his will to win and his honestly.
Both came across as men who cared about their clubs and who were winners. Shame so many modern players don,t care about winning or about the clubs they play for. All the hugging you see in tunnels now before games show that so many players treat a game with less passion then before.
