Views on keeping Hart as first choice keeper.

If we can get a class keeper in, we should drop Hart to fight it out with Kasper on whose second choice. Because ATM Hart is no where near ready to be playing in the first team of a club aiming for were we want to go. His distribution is awful, His communication is none existent, He's shaky on corners, and he's slow at getting to the ground. He's got a lot of potential admittedly he's just not ready yet and needs time to develop.

If we sign Given I think that will be the end of Hart's City career sadly. He won't want to stick around while the England number 1 jersey is up for grabs.

I think we should stick with him, I rate him very highly.

We do need to sign a goalkeeper but one that is towards the end of their career and doesn't mind stitting on the bench with a view to making them a coach.

We want to be were Chelsea is, now think about it Hart just isn't anywhere near that standard yet. He's a young lad with lots of potential and a lot to learn still and hopefully hes the future but we need better right now.

Take your blue tinted glasses of, who would you rather have in net someone of Peter Checs calibur or Joe Hart ?.

True he isn't but are we realisticly going to find a keeper to come to city in his caliber with years left to play, there aren't many knocking about and those that are at bigger clubs than city.

I'd take Petr Cech right away. Given isn't Petr Cech though.

can anyone tell me a goal that was soley down to Joe?

every keeper in the prem has cost his team a goal this season, except for joe.

not to mention he has had a SHOCKING and mis matched defence infront of him

I agree entirely. I think it would do untold damage to his confidence to drop him at this point. As for his distribution, he can only throw it out/release it early if there is an outfield player looking for it. Most of the time he gathers the ball and looks out and there's nothing on, silly to blame him for that.

Well the goal in the derby he should have done better with

not sure thats fair

what more could he do than save a low shot away from him, hit from close range accross him???

in that situation the ball will always ricochet out

he is a class keeper

Sorry but I disagree, for me he should have brought it into his chest, it wasn't hit that hard.

As mentioned earlier on this thread his distribution is terrible (i.e. putting it on the 6 4 centre halves head or kicking it generally in Wright Phillips's direction) and he often puts pressure back on us with his poor punching instead of catching.

excellent shot stopper
cannot organise defence
looks bad when coming out to clain crosses etc
some of his kicks up field are pointless and waste possesion
