On the outside looking in.
Groups of vigilantes begining to pop up in different parts of the country to protect their communities, personally I'm all for it, what's your view, do you think they help or hinder the situation with the current civil unrest we have on our hands?

Ideally they help, but unfortunately the police seem more interested in the fat bald blokes in too-tight Fred Perry's than masked up little guttersnipes robbing all the right-footed trainers.

Just so long as they don't start hanging paediatricians from bus stops. I'm all for people protecting their areas.

It could all go pear shaped but on the flip side if a bunch of thugs are out rioting/looting they are fair game imo.

I am all for it also because the police are stiffled with red tape and fear of jail for doing their job which defeats the very ethos of the police as an establishment, so people lose faith.

I guess if we agree or not has become a moot point as some have seen it as a necessity more than a choice they have.

Undoubtedly hinder policing.

However, when you see complete lawlessness and images of police either unable to cope or unwilling to do anything other than move the scrotes on so they can loot somewhere else, then it is quite easy to understand why such groups might form.

It is possibly the most worrying thing. When the public lose confidence in the police (and I am talking about their ability to immediately protect, not solve crimes or prioritise targets) then you have a real problem.

It is even more apparent when you realise that the scrotes 'rioted' for exactly the same reason. They knew the police could not stop them or deliberately wouldn't do anything.

Discretion is the player here, be vigilant and use discretion.
The Police wont really mind you dishing out a slap to a scally, but they will take a dim view to you and your mates having a riverdance on his head.

The tide is slowly turning in favour of the victim, recently 2 failed burglaries and 2 dead burglars taken out by the victim, law favouring the victim.

This,100%.They definitely hinder, but for the last few days, what has been the alternative?
The police have been caught unawares over this, and seem to be getting a grip, but faced with scum threatening you and yours, what are you going to do?

One other thing to mention is many such groups they will almost certainly at some point be hijacked by some very unsavoury elements who will seek to push an unjustified race agenda upon the whole situation.

And when that starts getting a hold then it spells huge trouble for everyone.

Some years ago, whilst hitchiking across the USA, a kindly gent, who was none other than the star of the vigilante film series Deathwish, Charles Bronson, stopped to give us a ride, so in answer to your question, i'd say vigilantes definitely do help rather than hinder.

This is complete bollocks

Why is it almost a certainty ?
