Villa allocation confirmed

There's no chance of us getting the trinity road upper, it's closed due to demand. They and the police are never going to put us above their directors box that's in the trinity road middle tier. It's 5900 tickets and that's our lot.

Yes, you are right. Sorry, I got mixed up between the two side stands at Villa Park. That`s what watching CITY for so long has done to me. I do though recall Richards scoring that header right at the end where we were (probably the highlight of that season) and I think that there was a small overspill of City fans in the lower tier of the Doug Ellis Stand that night. The crowd was low if I remember correctly (circa 24,000 ?) and we had nearly 6,000. The kick off time was odd also. I would have thought that there was scope to allocate City more tickets in the `normal` away section along the side but we will see. I`m not banking on it. We`ve sold out our decent allocation for Villa though very quickly. I wish there was the same, quick enthusiasm for the semi-final against Everton but there is still time for Blues to rally round and turn out in force on Wednesday. C`mon CITY.

Will be a great turn out for this one. That whole stand behind the goal just full of City. I'm sure someone has posted something in here already about Villa not selling the normal away seats to home fans in case demand from our side is big, which it seems to be so they might be back on sale tomorrow/Tuesday if that is the case.

Awaydays don't get any better than Villa in the cup on a Saturday afternoon at 3 o clock.

Pissed off, knew I'd just miss out. Awaiting the ticket exchange thread to re-open for this one. Will be a top away day.

Someone posted earlier in this thread that they were told by someone at the ticket office that we didn't ask for more tickets because the club wouldn't be able to post them all out in time. Whether this person in the ticket office (not the poster who stated it on here) was correct on this I don't know, but anyone with half a brain cell that has a hand in running our ticket office would surely know that 5900 tickets, priced at £15 for adults, away at a popular ground, in an FA Cup tie, at 3pm on a Saturday, would sell out in next to no time and so this has proved. Yet the club were worried about postal issues and had selling criteria on the website that went as far as Tuesday so they were factoring in posting tickets out as late as tomorrow. They sold out over the weekend - as predicted by loads on here - so why they couldn't ask for more is completely and utterly beyond me. Or why not take an additional allocation but put them on sale to personal callers only if they're worried about postal issues?
