Villa (H) Post Match Thread

but there main aim was to try and nick the game on the break ? yes defended well at times but city could and maybe should have had 3 goals in the first half. city had to work hard for the win and that in itself says villa was setup to park the bus and break ??

also the pitch was a game changer and very heavy and city could not find our normal game and it played into villa hands. it was advantage to villa because city played 4 games in a short space of time villa none

i don't like to give credit to a losing team ? villa will bemoan the 2 goals anyway but the truth is city had 28 chances
and major part of the game was in the villa half ?
I agree 100%.

Sure they defended quite well.

Their game plan though was Rag....esq

Let us have the Ball and try and hit us on the counter.

Possession Stats, shots on goal say the best side won.

Which we did.

Defensive football against us people think deserves a reward.

When it is against the Candle waivers, or Rags...........it becomes killing football.

Big game and a great result. Villa were impressive and came to giv3 us a game and fair play to them they did.
Shame about Kev and Kyle. Grealish is an impressive player but also a dirty Cnut. He makes sure he leaves some on after every challenge but collapses if anyone breathes on hip when he has the ball.

I genuinely think a prime Kun would have scored six tonight the number of times the ball was presented in the box.
Everyone played well and contributed. Feel very pleased for Bernie.

that’s the kind of result that wins titles.

Rodri gained 20 odd yards on Mings before he touched the ball. He was in the perfect position to dispossess him due to the run he had made from an offside position.

My argument isn’t that Rodri was offside because the law states he clearly wasn’t, it’s that the law should change so Rodri should be offside.
The media, most pundits and a shed load of others are against us and now you want the rules changed to disallow a perfectly good goal?? It’s as legitimate a goal as a 50 yard thunderbolt, let’s rejoice in it not wonder why the rules allowed it??
