Banner aside, I don't really get the blue alliance.
As far as I've heard, it's a group of city fans who go to the games together, get pissed and sing songs.
Loads of people do this - does this mean we are in the blue alliance?

I'm guessing some people are after an ego boost

Just to explain a bit; the group of lads who will be carrying the flag around with them refer to themselves as the "Over 12's".

Seeing as its costing £200 and the two main O12's have put £100 towards it, I think it's fair enough that they want to be recognised.

Didn't AIG use that same line when they had their name on the banner up at the swamp in 2008? ;o)

Great sentiment - Vinny undoubtedly deserves the recognition - but the ego-boosting makes it a little cringe-worthy.
