I would add Micah Richards to that list - I know some do not like him but I feel he has brought into the whole work ethic.

Too prone to defensive lapses (reminds me of Dunney in his last season). He tends to ''switch off'' in games, and the top teams will punish you for that.

i dont care just as long as its taken off tevez straight away, he doesnt care about the club or its fans....so disapointed with tevez, just when i started to believe we could actualy win the league he goes and fucks another spanner into the works. Could never see kolo, kompany or nigel do anything like this, they're real leaders, fuck tevez!

Barry is a great professional, yeah, but his form has been known to fluctuate randomly and he may eventually be benched in favour of Milner if that happens, in which case we'd have the problem from last season when captain Kolo was sat on the bench and we had to make the vice-captain captain.

Yep Kompany should be captain. If not then I'd give it de Jong. Barry would be a good captain but I don't think he's a definite starter like Kompany and de Jong.

He would be 100% my choice aswell but considering when tevez ain't captain it passed to toure the de Jong and given when he plays maybe kompany has been asked and doesn't want it on a permanent basis I know it shows it in the op's post but maybe he accepted it as a 1 off to see how he coped and didn't like it.

Also it's not just about being a captain on the pitch it's also off it in other words it's also being part of the management a supervisor role in other jobs maybe he just ain't up to that
