Agree its nice not to be panicking with Vinnie out. Could really do with him fit for any derbies though to handle Lukaku

Recent clean sheets or not, every blue would much rather have him fit than injured every 5 fuckin minutes. It is good to see that life without Vinnie is much less bleak than in recent seasons.

To be honest, I think Mangala is ideally suited to handling Lukaku. His decision making and positioning make not be the best, but he's very quick, big and strong and can well handle big centre forwards. He's been superb against Costa, for example.

If he is deemed fit enough for Belgium he will and should play. Belgium doesn't give a toss if it mucks up our season they are only interested in what's in their best interests. If Vinny feels he is OK and gets the all clear from the medical team there is little we can do. And you can't blame a man for wanting to represent his country at every opportunity it's a huge honour he would have grown up dreaming of leading Belgium to glory. And in my opinion if big Vinny signs a new five year deal tomorrow I would be chuffed he is the best CB in the world, a perfect captain and a club legend. I may be biased but I would take kompany for 20 games a season over most CBS out there.
I think I disagree with virtually every word.

I agree but would Pep play someone who most likely would not have played much.

I don't think the rags will have enough of the ball to really hurt us. When they do get the ball every pass etc. has to be near perfect. That is difficult to do when rushed by good pressing.

The rags do not worry me at all when we play them.

Agreed!
Spurs on the other hand...

Agree with this. We're not going to change our setup or the way we play for them, they won't be able to get the ball off us.

still need him. pep rotates the forwards and should do with the defenders. still think he is our best defender, can't believe so many people aren't bothered if he isn't 1st choice defender.
I don't think it's that they aren't bothered, it is just that we have managed perfectly well without him. For once, we don't rely on him as much as we used to. That means that we have a better squad. It's all good.
