I had the pleasure of being there and witnessing the greatest performance of the last 30 years by any City player.

He is everything I want my City player to be. Classy, strong, efficient, a leader on and off the pitch, articulate.

Only De Jong's performance against Chelsea in the first home win, comes close.

Kompany is our player of the season by a country mile and for what he represents.
