He is the best defender in the league hands down. I fucking love the man he gave his all tonight, won every loose ball, got clean tackles in even after Rooney conned the ref to get him booked. Leader, gentleman and all round legend.

He got vinnie booked tonight. First time I can remember a player getting a yellow card for being kicked on the foot!

So many thinking a winning goal would inevitably be from Tevez or perhaps from Balotelli. How appropriate considering the FA Cup joke sending off that it was Kompany
 
I'm so pleased for him. After that bullshit sending off in the FA Cup and the ridiculous yellow earlier on he could of quite easily dropped his head, but instead he rose up and smashed in the fucking winner.
