Zidane had a fall-out with Perez after his second stint. Maybe he took an interm, but full-time is a no, since he's been waiting for 5 years for Deschamps to step down to take the French NT, which he will do after the World Cup. Not a chance he'll take a full-time role.Zidane as interim coach / likely full-time at Madrid seems very likely if Alonso loses his job. Alonso does seem like a good fit for Liverpool. Good shout.
In summer though, maybe there are more options for Madrid to choose.
Here's what gonna happen:
- Madrid will lose more points, meltdowns increase. End result: Alonso will lose the job.
- At the same time, Slot can't turn Liverpool's form back, he will also get sacked. Alonso will come in and replace him.
- Madrid will look for a big name coach to handle that dressing rooms, most likely Klopp, he's free right now. Liverpool will lose their mind again.
- Results come in, Vini signs a new contract.

There is no way we’d entertain this even as a free after the Ballon D’or fiasco.
For me it’s making an issue so he has an excuse to take the Saudi money. It’s been reported a long time they’d go after him.
They were angry because FIFA insinuated to them that Vinicius was going to win it. They actually only found out late on Rodri had won it because City let them know privately. They felt angry they had been led on and this is why they refused to show up. It wasn't a dig at us or Rodri. We have a friendly relationship with Madrid.
That said, no thanks to Vinicius. I'd rather stick with Doku who has a similar skillset, is younger and isn't a gigantic bellend.

He might be a bell end but Vinicius is a step and half up on any player bar Haaland. He's a big game player and is definitely not overrated in my view. Then again quite a few thought Naymar was shite as well! A large number thought Donnarumma was bang average and had never kicked a ball before either!!
IF he is available and IF his personality is one the club can work with, we absolutely should be looking at him. We need to sign world class players and he is.
