Kompany goes back to school as City skipper studies for business degreeBy Ian Ladyman

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is to combine his career in the Barclays Premier League with life as a student after signing up to do a Masters degree.
Kompany is already recognised as one of the country’s most intelligent footballers, having turned down moves to big clubs such as Manchester United in his teenage years in order to complete his university studies in Belgium.
Back to school: Kompany is set to study for a Masters degree
Now it is understood the central defender is to take his academic career to the next level after gaining a place on a Business Administration course at Manchester business school.
Sportsmail understands that Kompany recently signed up for the three-year course and is likely to begin his studies at the start of the next academic year in September. It is expected that much of the 25-year-old’s coursework will be done at home.

Shades of Paul Power and Nedum.

If you read the article fully, it says he won't begin until September.

His ban will be over long before then.

Yeah but there's an agenda, remember.

It's just struck me that when he retires, maybe Vinnie can combine his footballing knowledge, his busimess acumen and love of Manchester / City and work for the club in some capacity, maybe as successor to Marwood.

Now wouldn't that be great?
