Did you see his reaction to the West Ham goal on Saturday? Now most players at 3-0 up with a minute to go may of just thought "Oh well It's a consolation goal" but Vinnie was absolutely fuming with Boateng for not marking him! if you look at the highlights of the game right at the end they are walking off together and Vinnie is still having a go at him!

If we are talking about captain material (and I know there a few threads about in on here already) but this guy has to be the one we give the armband to, he is a consummate professional, young, articulate, passionate, an absolute winner, the next 'Mr City' and IMO the best centre half in the premier league with no exceptions!!

I fookin love the guy!! :-)

^^^^ totally agree. Definitely Captain material.

Indeed he is! But Kolo is vice captain, and he has done very vell, he deserves the armband back.

Bugger, you beat me to it !!!
Yes when he thumped the ground in despair, you could then see the look of anger.
Not certain if he was disappointed for the fact that we conceded to give them a bit of a shout,or moreso he wanted to try and get a record for City,in conceding the least goals in the PL.
Only 1 or 2 is it ahead of Chelsea ??
That showed his committment,as a thorough Blue.
Still can`t believe the stupid amount we paid for him.
About time we robbed the Germans !!

I sit close to the pitch at the CoMS and can often clearly see who are the vocal players, when the atmosphere is shit i can hear them.

Vincent Kompany is arguably the most vocal player. He's a good organiser, he's a good motivator, he bollocks others when it's needed. Nigel de Jong is the same!

An excellent candidate for captain!

The most underrated player in the league, fact!!

It's easy to say this as a City fan but I've watched a lot of other games this season live and MotD etc and I agree, I think Kompany has been the best Centre Back in the Prem so far this season. His confidence, awareness, communication, and his ability to play the full 90 with intensity is somthing we need in every player. I really do think we'll hear stories, possibly this Jan, but over the next summer that City are turning down bids for him from some big clubs.

Would love him to be captain and De Jong announced as vice captain so those 2 can run our team to glory!
