Weird one. Liverpool officially came out & declared they ended their interest in the player - but don't see him ending up anywhere else.

I'm not sure we need a center-back that badly. I know Kolarov is leaving but he was always a last resort defender imo. Kompany - Otamendi is ideal with Stones rotating getting plenty of game time and Tosin as back-up.

Don't understand this. Why would he care if he goes to Liverpool or City? Two great clubs, both in the Champs League, both likely to be challenging for domestic honours. If anything you could argue that City is the more likely team if he's after winning things. So why make such a clear preference for Liverpool?
