Strikes me as a Johnny Stones or maybe even a Rodri type. Has that positional awareness that, to that levels you just can't teach.

So young though, like the other lad and even Marmoush, I find it difficult to believe that we were on the verge of pressing the button on some of these transfers on summer, the likes of Reis would barely have played more than a handful of games. That said we do have a very extensive scouting system and maybe his rise in the past few months is so impressive that previous targets are no longer interesting.

Are we going too young to compensate for our geriatrics? Ah well, I'm off to worry about other inane crap now...

Where’s Brazilian Gus when we need the dampeners put on?!
This should be right up his street!!!

In all seriousness, looks like a great bit of business for us.
Still need a DM mind you….but confident we do have a plan.

For info, I am reliably informed by a Brazilian colleague that Vitor's name is pronounced something close to Hayes, the R being like a H, the eis being like aze.
Reis is translated as kings.
One for the pedants.

Ruben's name sounds more to me like Hooben whenever I hear one of the Portuguese or Brazilian lads say it.

But I'm not about to walk around calling him Hooben Dyash.

Yes a big thing with Brazilian Portugese you are meant to pronounce R's as H's.

Nunes can’t tackle nor win a duel.

I agree but that isn't exclusive to Nunes. Unfortunately that describes nearly all of our midfield. If we are to bring in someone to this position it has to be someone that will address how soft we are in central midfield.

I understand that signing Guimaraes will be extremely unlikely, but someone of that ilk is hopefully a priority for that position. Otherwise I'm not sure much is going to change in terms of the problems we have seen in recent months.

No one says Mateus Noonsh either, which is odd because Juande Carroll at the dippers is pronounced Noo-ne-yes.

There doesn’t seem to be a rule though. Thierry Henry wouldn’t have sounded as exotic if we’d pronounced it Terry Henry, like he was from Barnsley.

Clearly, with the signing of Reis and the potential to bring in Khusanov, we're looking to introduce some steel into our play; something sadly lacking at times this season. Unlike your typically cultured ball-playing Brazillian, Reis appears to be a hard tackling CB, albeit with a good passing range, who's strong in the air while Khusanov looks to be an absolute beast in his YouTube showreels (admittedly, never a wholly reliable indicator), launching into flying tackles and charging opponents off the ball. I fully expect to see him sent off in his first appearance!

At one point Pep was wanting to Jorginho who can't either.
I might be wrong who knows but I'd be surprised if we see Reiss in midfield this season.
Pep said a while ago that he doesn’t coach players to tackle even Stevie Wonders can see from far away
