Think it could be a real possibility with Sane not having much time in yet and the possibility of Navas being gone or nearly gone. Here's my guess:

EDIT didn't think about Zaba not featuring yet in preseason, reckon Maffeo will definitely start unless Pep thinks Sagna will be alright.

TBH, it will be good I think for the likes of Sane, Sagna, KDB to not have to worry about a little recovery for the CL game

All things being equal I think Pep will introduce Sane gradually from the bench...20 minute spells to get him upto speed.
He's only played 47 times for Shalke and has the physique of a skinned rabbit.

Ideally, I don't think Sagna or De Bruyne would play in the opening w/e. But the CL qualifier makes a big difference.
