Wages of primary school teacher/police officer..?

Finally narrowing my options down to one... Just wondering if anyone knows the average pay for a primary school teacher compared to a police officer?

It's one of the other for me now. Leaning more towards teaching however I want to know what the wages are like. Can't find any updated sites at all...
 
Primary Teacher - from £20,627 to £30,148 EDIT - from 2008 so may have changed (was just a quick glance)

PC - £23,259
 
I know of a newly qualified primary school teacher just gone working in saudi arabia for 2 years.......30k a year tax free!!
 
Alright mate the Missus is a special needs primary teacher she gets about 35k, she's 32 been teaching for about 10 years! think about 2k is a speacial needs allowance.
 
I've been a cop for nearly 8 years and I'm on about 32k.

They changed the pension a couple of years ago. You now only pay 9% (as opposed 11%) but have to work 35 years (instead of 30) to qualify for the full pension. You have to take that into account as the pension amount isn't negotiable. You either pay the full amount or you don't pay into it at all.
 
My ex-missus is a Primary School Teacher and used to work a very stressful 60hr week just to stay on top of it.
But she was a soft touch and took on the SENCO (Special Educational Needs) role without getting any extra pay, doh..

Try for the Fire Service, its a doddle, 16 weeks training on full pay, great shift system, loads of perks and it boosts your pulling power.

Hardest bit is getting in ,when l did selection for Cheshire, there were over 6,000 applications for 8 jobs...

edited to add, l eventually left because l got bored, it was too easy and l was surrounded by slackers, who were more concerned about their window cleaning round etc..
