but the Duke of Wellington Blackley will take some beating

mods please move if other thread started

Can see a few men in black attracted to this event to give it the Billy big bollocks before they scuttle off back under their rocks

It says the club will be represented, so I’d imagine they’ll be bringing plenty of their own security with them.

It is already a very Blue pub with a hard core customer base and plenty of security on match days. It would be a kamikaze mission for the rags.
Yup was in there pre swamp this year No rags walked down the road never mind in. One the few pubs I actually class as a city pub in town. Although was rammed with Chelsea the other week.

MiBs.....my arse in parsley.

They got smashed on Bengal St a couple of years ago and are only good for a bit of graffiti these days.

Like their vile team they’re history !!

They turned up at the Townley and the Corner Shop last season and caused plenty of trouble clashing with GMP and City fans. They doubled back through the park and the housing estate to get to the Townley via the ginnel.

They knocked a City bloke out in ginnel between the Townley and the South stand. He was minding his own business, but they still attacked him and his Son, before doubling back and heading to the Corner Shop. One United lad stayed behind and kept on saying sorry to his son, while his Dad was on the floor knocked out.

There must have been about 30 Mibs? GMP knew they were coming, they were apparently tracking them, GMP stopped them getting to the Townley, they doubled back through the park, GMP blocked the road off, they doubled back through the estate, and got to the Townley via the ginnel, clashed with GMP and City fans who were stood outside the Townley, and double backed again through the other part of the estate, and attacked City fans stood outside the Corner Shop.

The question is why the fuck didn't GMP stop the Mibs before they got to the Townley if they had spotters out and knew they were coming?

Pre or Post match ?

Pre-match.

The funny thing is, they could have gone down the ginnel and that would have brought the out infront of the South stand. They must have known that. Instead they went to the Corner Shop. They could have had a proper fight with loads of City lads outside the South stand.

They have always targeted families and dads with kids. The Townley is the ultimate legacy fan pub. Not exactly hooligan central. That’s why I go in there a lot. I was there last season and missed it all! Only heard about it at half time.

We were actually walking down the other end of the ginnel when we saw them all the GiB going towards the town let. We let a copper at the end of ginnel know and he just told us to move on…..
