We will have to agree to disagree - pretty much most pundits believe that Johnsons is most effective as an attacking full back but is a poor defender - personally i think he is a poor defender and is an accident waiting to happen
Perhaps on the opinion, we can agree to disagree. As everyone is free to have an opinion that differs. But as to the facts, you'd have to agree that today he was not beaten once by Wales. For someone who is supposed to be a shaite defender, that isn't very good evidence.

As for the pundits, sorry to say but most English pundits are shaite! Better yet most Media pundits are shaite. They mostly dabble in cliches. If a fullback is good going forward, you can bet your last pound most English pundits will cal him poor defensively. This is just a generalization. It is often not necessarily true of the players being labeled.

Think the fact he was not beaten by a Welsh player today is a reflection of how poor Wales are rather than Johnsons outstanding defensive attributes

Barry's England career was ended by Barry and 9.9 out of 10 people on this forum would take him out of the team so stop wanking yourself silly behind your keyboard its embarrasing for us all

You are an embarrassment.

Barry is a good player. But so is Wilshere. Outstanding performance from him today. Was a walk in the park for England although I detected a little lot of pace from Terry when he was occasionally caught 1 on 1. Rooney was poor again. Should be destroying opposition like that.

Most of us are waiting for Barry's City career not to be ended but downgraded (to second choice) by a top midfielder. Only the tiny set of De Jong haters disagree, they'd rather see him replaced. :P

No longer good enough for England, no longer good as a first choicer for City (and we have the world to choose from, not just a limited set of midfielders of one nationality).
