I remember i suggested the scarves, WEMBLEY76 the idea, felixbg the red and black. Basically it was the idea of many fans on here and escalated from there.

City had already been selling black/red scarves that season but then offered a free one with the ticket for the FA Cup tie at Leicester.

I don't think city had sold red and black scarves that season, it was all just from the tribute - the club shop just got them for the ticket offer straight from the tribute organisors, if my memory is right. City sold some the following season when we brought the red and black away kit back.
