Can anyone recommend any places to walk this weekend that have great views of Manchester?

Not too fussed whether they are in North or South Manchester as long as they are reasonable close to the City Centre.

Werneth Low gives good views all around. Take binoculars if you have them. Walk to Hare and Hounds which gives views as well.

Peel Tower north of Bury, near Ramsbottom, good walks all around towards Rossendale and Stubbins

Heaton Park has the highest point in Manchester, and a decent park to walk around

I would second this. Not only can you see Manchester but you have complete panoramic views looking over Coombes rock, Kinder scout etc if you head past the Cenotaph up towards where the old steak house was located

You get a good view of Manchester and Salford city centres from Vine Street in Salford. It's off Bury New Road and it's at the top of a hill which has the Irwell at the bottom.
