Large crowds here already. Loads are wearing an identical fan t-shirt with a goggle and scarf ultra on it. Needless to say, I’ve bought a souvenir and disappeared. Some very tough looking fans around!

I found Serbians very eccentric but welcoming. The Welsh behave when they go abroad for the football. We can be a divided nation in terms of area, language and club rivalry but it’s all put to one side. Someone will intervene if people are playing up.

Having come out of a Mancunian lady’s body, I shouldn’t laugh when natives say “We hate the English” but I tend to. My best mate is Newton Heath through and through too.

Been to a few Polska Wales games, bit blurry due to the booze. I do recall in Warszawa the Cardiff and Swansea fans sat in same pub but apart. Tension even on international duty.

It’s calmed down a lot now. They’ve made huge efforts to eliminate club rivalry.

If anything, huge swathes of Welsh support are from the north of Wales and are Caernarfon, Bangor etc. You meet Wrexham and the near clubs like Everton.

Pathetic in many ways but people have been dividing themselves for as long as I can remember.

Phoenix Club. Technically Lech Poznan are Groclin. Very surprising to you I’m sure as well.

A bar near my hotel has the Polish Cup Final on and I can see empty red seats in the stadium. It looks like The Swamp on Why Always Me? day.

Lech Poznan are the only Polish club I really knew because of how they were at City. I have about 20 foreign club shirts in my collection and aim for Real Betis not Sevilla or Torino not Juventus. I want the proper clubs.

I’m wearing more fan tees now as football shirts no longer flatter my bod.

Legia are the Rags/Dippers of Poland. The ultimate establishment team. Polonia are seen as the real Warszawa club. Their ground up from the Stare Miasto, you can get a decent look at it.

I wouldn’t say Warsaw has been my favourite city in Eastern Europe but it’s very nice nevertheless.
