Was Ian Bowyer The Edin Dzeko Of 1970?

Remember Dave Conner... was thinking last night about when he man marked Alan Ball... was wondering if Fernamdino could do a job like that on Sanchez.:)

Bowyer was unfortunate to emerge when we had a great forward line , and despite a knack of scoring goals he just wasnt good enough , i would compare him to Paul Moulden , always capable of nicking a goal . But Bowyer signed for an average Forest side and he grew with the team , clough converted him to a decent midfeld player and he never looked back His son Gary Bowyer is the Blackburn manager , and he's a credit to him , came across as a proper football man ,with his comments, when we played them last season , got a couple of mates who are Rovers ST holders , and they rate him
