Was the derby win our greatest ever victory?

Depends. The minute yer use judgmental words like 'greatest' it becomes a matter of opinion. I was delighted with Baconface's comment that this was the worst defeat of his career. SSN jumped down his throat almost immediately with the idea he got whacked 7-1 as a player. Don't think there's any doubt that this was the WORST of his career by a long way.

For pure satisfaction and what it means to us and getting rags to start admitting things they would never admit to, this is the best.

The other one that stays in my mind is still the 4 v 3 at Spurs, with ten men and 3 v 0 down at half time.

I think the 3-1 derby win in '68 was greater because it came so close to the end of season and hence had a much greater impact.

That match was probably on a par performance wise, just didnt have the 3 injury time goals which gave the gloss to sunday's win.

we've won trophies numerous times, which are obviously brilliant but they will be won again and again by lots of clubs, sunday will (hopefully not) probably never happen again. all around the world people will look at that result and just say wow.

until we win the champions league i'd say that will be yes.

In my time its got to be the 1, being there in the mancunian section aswell, Magnifico.
Gillingham has got to be up there, Spurs 3-4 and Huddersfield 10-1 all in my time, the one i missed was the Spurs game but even dancing around the house that night, Brilliant.
But that on sunday for me was exceptional, especially living in Stertford.
