was you at villa park

29 Year old and never had seen us in a semi-final,never mind winning owt id just love to see us win a semi final!

Apparently me mum was on tele as after the goal. Had I been more than a twinkle in her eyes, id have been there ;)

Fantastic day, I was right in line with Power's free kick, not far from the segregation fence on the Holte End, the celebrations were mental. As said, Ipswich were a very good side then, in fact they won the UEFA Cup that season.

i was in the smaller witton end opposite which was full of blues only, we had maybe 65% of the ground. apart from the atmosphere which was brill, what i remember most was the amount of city fans who were pissed - it was practically everyone. although it was a warm, dry spring day the terraces were ankle deep awash with human piss.

Agreed, was saying to one of my lads the other day, best City day out I have had. The support that day was sensational.

20 yrs of age at the time, not a care in the world. Happy days.
Same as mate same as.....................

I was there, I remember Helen the Bell getting on our coach at Villa park selling City flags. My dad got me one - a chequered red/black one with the words road to Wembley on it. Still got it.
I sat in the seats just to the right of the Holte End with my great uncle, I was 12 at the time. It was one of my best days ever at a City match and all I'd ask of the club is to give me days like that more than half a dozen times in a lifetime if that's okay.
