Watch it … Drink it in …

I still gasp at that move. The ball into Mario, the pass from Mario, then the touch Sergio takes to go round the defender and then the strike, top, top quality all round.
Sergio was reported recently to have said that he was aiming at the far post!

My eldest was in the ground, me and the youngest in the Manchester pub.
At 2-1 I said “that’s it”, the typical City in me after 50 years watching my beloved blues, my lad said “we’ve done it before we’ll do it again” (Gillingham). How right he was, when 93-20 came he ended up under a pile of bodies on the beer swathed floor of the pub.

I doubt anyone thought we'd even equalise never mind get a winner. I remember the Balotelli header Kenny saved. We got yet another corner and Kenny easily caught it and held on. The ninety minutes were up and I remember feeling sick and deflated. I had to travel back to Kent and had work in the morning at 7am. Gutted wasn't the word. I decided to get off and went to the exit from the stand. The concourse was like a war zone, people sitting on the floor head in hands and loads streaming out. I noticed the gates weren't open they were going out through the turnstiles and once out you couldn't get back in. I stood there torn. Stay or go? A weird feeling, total turmoil. I stayed and the rest is history. Did I think we'd do it? Not a cat in hell's chance.
Well said Blue. So true.
