There's a great pub called the Lamb Shank, but just make sure you don't have a beef with anyone or make a pig's ear of anything!

You've been warned!

Watch out for a pixie faced Welsh bloke

wow that brought memories back..... I was on block release from work in 1979-81 at Loughborough College and we were put up at Quorn Hall for digs.....
celebrated my 17th birthday there but everyone staying in the hall bought me happy 18th cards for me to open in the local pub so I could drink!
A right fox hunting place if I remember (the whole village was / is)

I was supposed to be at college Monday - Friday and Thursday evenings when there. The final Thursday was the cup final reply night against Spurs and I went down to Wembley on the Leicester & Rugby supporters club coach.
Two weeks later, my boss received my report and called me into the office. 'You missed two sessions'' he said.
''I went to Wembley on the Thursday so missed the afternoon / evening sessions. The evening one was cancelled as only two turned up as everyone else went to watch the game in the pub'' I replied.
''They are the two who will pass the course'' the miserable twat (a Forest fan) replied.

When I was at University the Griffin was an excellent pub, good beer and they have Sky. It was my local and had many graet nights in there. Other good pubs are The Old Pack Horse and The Generous Briton, which both have Sky. The Albion is a good pub and they have been in the good beer guide for the past 13 years. I don't know if they have Sky. Not been there for a while but they were good places to hang out when I was there. Hope you have a good time and the result makes it even better.

I'm in Loughborough for the weekend (seeing my girlfriend) and I have no idea where to go.
