The "remains/bodies" were mainly small fragments of bone which were identified by their dna. The black box is a small electronic recording device which if by some miracle wasn't totally destroyed on impact, or from the crushing fall of the towers, would have been totally indistinguishable from other electronic devices.

So you think they found their remains through a crashed plane, which exploded and burnt at a crazy heat, and then crashed to the floor from thousands of feet up?

Yeah whatever.

Identifying the remains were made easier due to their passports being found very quickly... amongst the molten metal and other burnt things caused by the impact.
