Watching UK TV on Laptop Abroad

This is something I have to do a lot due to work. Have become used to watching on Filmon (for BBC, ITV mainly) which has been free up to yesterday, it seems.Now asking for subscription.

Several other sites also used the Filmon stream, which are now blocked.

Anyone know of any free alternatives? Advice much appreciated.

I used to use expat shield when I went away. I think freedome will also work as it allows you to select which country you want to route your IP through. Also useful for making purchases from other countries when you want to avoid exchange rate costs.

Do you mean Film on is asking for money if you are abroad because I gave it on my iPad , in the UK, and it's all still free?

I am abroad, it started asking for money yesterday. Previously I could watch the free channel (with the ads)

Only thing free now seems to be BBC World News

it still works here no problem, cancel that its on a timer, gives you 2 mins view time

Seems promising, but is sticking a bit. Meanwhile a colleague has texted to say he's watching filmon with no problems.

Tried film on tonight in the UK.
Kept stopping after a couple of minutes until reset.
