Water at tomorrow’s game | 500ml clear disposable water bottle allowed in the ground.

It's the fact you can't take your own in that's the problem on hot days as nobody wants to buy the overpriced stuff on offer. How does this tap water thing work?
£2.20 for those little effort cartons of water they sell that hold about 200ml and £3 for a bottle of a fizzy drink is fucking ridiculous pricing!

You can buy a pack of 12 500ml bottles of water for about £2 at a supermarket.

There were water bottle top up taps at West ham & they were allowing plastic water bottles to be taken in which worked well, though they were asking for the lid to be taken off for some inexplicable reason. Will keep a spare sports cap thingy in my pocket tomorrow.
I think it's so it isn't as dangerous if thrown from the stands.

Full bottle with cap on versus one with cap off.

A full bottle with the top on makes a decent throwing "missile" just take the top off, put the top in your pocket and drink a bit. Put the top back on once you're in

I thought the issue was they didn’t want them sealed as that way they could be thrown?
It varies I think. In my South stand entrance you get your lid took off you regardless I presume because it's close to the away fans.

But when I've sat in Colin Bell as long as it's sealed you can take it in unchallenged.

They could hand out a free bottle on entry, bloody hell even virgin trains did this once in hot weather.
That would be a very sensible thing to do.

In Greece they water cannon the fans in the stands n’all, I’d fucking love a bit of that tomorrow where I sit (in the sunshine all game when it’s sunny).

I actually saw metrolink were doing this during the 40 degrees the other week, handing out free water not the water cannon lol. I must say I'm not looking forward to being rammed on the tram in this heat

They've always told me I can't take my drink in. On a hot day you'd probably have drank some of it. Stupid rule and made to coerce people to buy stuff in the ground.

Water bottle in the back pocket job or are we expecting extra frisks from the stewards this season?
