the two full backs are making a huge difference....crossing, running with the ball and off the ball has just given us an extra dimension.
Aguero is reborn..he was starting to show it last season in the second half of the season but he is now doing it every game..his link play, assists, fitness all back to go with the one thing he never lost which was a natural born ability to put the ball in the net.....
Thought sterling looked a little rusty for some reason...he didnt play bad so maybe it was just that everyone else was so good.
Another good goal for GJ as well.
KDB's delivery from out wide has improved even more and silva is just merlin...never less than an 8/10
great to ilky back and his first touch was nearly an absolute peach of a pass that dissected half the watford team!
Im guessing we will see a much changed line up for the cup game.....wouldnt be surprised to see Kun rested as he was the only forward to play 90 mins today....
I also think that Watford are the first team we've faced this season to actually NOT park the bus completely.
Thank you Marco Silva for the way you positioned Cleverley, thank you Richarlison (primarily) and Carrillo (switched sides in the process, than switched again -it really didn't make any difference) for your discipline -well actually lack of. Ambition is a good thing, but it really should be based on solid foundations...
As for City, this is what I consider a statement. Easy the best, most complete performance so far, just 3 fucking days after a CL ficture. And notice, not all of our players have reached top form yet...
A quality and a vision bound to attract new fans. Combined with amazing work-rate till ref's final whistle and a sense of togetherness...
PS. Final scoreline is flattering for Watford, and I'm honestly saying this without any sense of arrogance whatsoever...
PS2. We lost 2 headers from respective corner kicks, we can -and have to- do better. Finally, can we please fix that fucking thing with the high defensive line in set pieces? It would be such a fucking pity to give Watford a chance of a game, they did not deserve it...
PS3. I don't want to hear anything about offside goals etc. The difference in terms of the treatment City receive from refs compared to that of direct rivals, is huge. 2 red cards in 3 matchdays, 2 major fuck ups -and they were not the only wrong calls. So I honestly do not give a fuck...
