I think all eyes will be on the ref to protect our players, and enforce the law regarding high, or dangerous tackles, continuity, now a very public and well discussed precedent has being set.I fear this game due to the furore surrounding the Mane red card and the ref appointed. I reckon he will go all out to ensure the balance is redressed, all approved from above of course! Just as big a knob is the linesman who was running the line against Chelsea with him and gave us naff all against Liverpool last season as well. If he is on the line tomorrow with that rag in the middle we really are fucked.
The media are saying Watford could go top with a win against City, while that might've been a more realistic proposition last season, we have far more strength in depth this season, and the competition for places means that every player knows that they cannot ease off in any game, for fear of being dropped.
Pep has got this team beginning to purr, Stones has started to fulfil his promise with some towering performances last seen from Vinny, Walker, And Danilo look very assured, and Mendy sees a pass even quicker than KDB with the fierceness of Kolarov. Jesus and Aguero are striking up a decent partnership, KDB is looking leaner and meaner, Silva has an heir apparent in Bernardo, and our keeper is looking world class.
