Really think we need to rest fernandinho for Chelsea. He's going to be absolutely knackered.

Assuming zinchenko may not be fit, I'd give Danilo one more try on the left as he has played well this season when called upon.

Not ideal making that many rotations but it means aguero, sterling, and dinho, go into chelsea with a week or more rest whilst walker, David, stones, and Delph all got a rest on sat.

Could always go gundogan as the deep lying midfielder as I liked him there against arsenal last season.

Fairly confident about this one, our only real weakness is at left back. Not too bothered about the performance, after another lucky result for Liverpool all I care about is getting the three points and re-establishing a five point lead.

Liverpool have Burnley and Bournemouth away and United at home. Since, United raise the game against them, I think the fixtures are comparable. Just need to avoid giving that 2 point lead we have during this run.

Pep likes a 2-3-2-3 that can expand and collapse as needed. Indeed, in this system, you can drop Stones in and pull the full backs in for a “defensive midfield shield” Walker and Delph, for a 3-2, which he also does at times, when Ferna drops in between the back two.

I don’t disagree with your sentiment, but then I think this gives everyone some time in their legs before Chelsea on the weekend, and with the subs on the bench, gives Pep maximum flexibility to rest weary limbs or simply rest as needed.

1 of 3 tricky-ish away games this month (along with Chelsea and Leicester), although we usually do alright here.

After December we'll only have 3 away games left vs the top 10, United, Everton and Bournemouth (if they stick around). Which I think bodes really well. In fairness the scousers don't have many left either but they still have to come to us.
