Adebayor making waves has gone down like a led balloon. This unexpected turn of events has got Mancini and marwood back to the phone lines. Mancini is determined to have a squad of happy players he will not tolerate any disenting voices ie Ireland, bellamy, robinho et al. Adebayor was told after the spurs game that he will feature heavily this season hence the number 9 shirt and not to be concerned he was a victim of formation not form. His outburst since though has caused a major wave. Any offer of note will now be accepted.
Mancini wanted ibra badly however platini's new rules have altered the clubs plans as we will only be able to spend what we earn thus our new signings must have long term futures we are looking closely at the age of players we sign. Large investments on players approaching 30 will not now be made. Mancini has accepted this if Adebayor is now off loaded expect dzeko (right age) to be approached again. Also do not dismiss pazzini as roberto is a big fan. This could happen very quickly with adebayors attitude.

Problem is the Germans wont sell, not at this stage we should have paid the £35 million buy out when we had the chance he was worth it. Ade is a cock he can go to Real for me if they pay what he stands us at.

In fairness the Arsenal fans warned us !

Giampaolo Pazzini - Hes got Bianchi written all over him. Forwards from Italy by instict I run a mile.

Don't say that we've just signed one. Time is too tight probably for dzeko however Mancini is not happy to be stuck with an unhappy adebayor for 5 months so you never know.

LOL it was what I was thinking when we signed him. Crespo, Sheva etc etc.

But he looked good for 10 minutes before he got injured. Not my choice by a long shot but anyway its done.

Too late to do anything big now but Ade is such a knob head and looks so disinterested I think I would rather go a man light than keep him around the place causing trouble. Maybe try and get Dzeko in January it will be very difficult though they are owned by VW so have no reason to sell.

Dzeko to city I would rate as difficult as Fabragas to Barca. A big club that doesnt want to sell, the player is pivotal and so important and they dont need the money.

It would take the player going on strike ala Masc for any chance of it happening.

Ibra/Dzeko if true

Ade had his chance the other night. But what does he do to stake his claim for the starting lineup. He should have had a couple. He runs around smiling looking like he is off his head. We are getting to many players sulking. If they don't like it off load them. Or force them to play for the Res at Hyde. If not picked for the 1st team. Bacon face does it. We would not miss him. Its not as if he scores like Drogba.

I really like adebayor as well when he is on form he is unplayable. Like drogba with more skill. Unfortunatley his toughest opponent seems to be himself. Maybe mourinho could get him to play like he did in his first few games for us all the time. Who knows he's got everything to be the best front man in the world except for the ability to beat his own internal demons.

People who look disinterested and score 1 in 2 in a season marred by injuries, suspensions, attempted assassinations, managerial changes and the process of moving himself and his family to a brand new City and a brand new team, are definitely cocks.

Really, do we now solely judge players on what face they are pulling whilst playing? The stereotype that Adebayor is lazy isn't just wrong, it's disgusting with a tint of racism surrounding it. Yards covered per game statistically, he is just behind Tevez and is a mile in front of RSC.

Forget what you already 'know', watch the game.

Oh fuck it, let's sell a major player, an essential part of the squad, our new number nine and a guy who could be better than Drogba in a few years simply because you 'get the impression' that he 'might' be 'disinterested'.

Where was Drogba at Ade's age? Still in France, just about to move to Chelsea because of his excellent season where he had a worse goal ratio than Ade did last season, whilst in a far poorer league.

Great post Damocles I love adebayor as a player but I'm not sure roberto does. And I think ade needs to be loved he's just one of those players. I agree with you he could be better than drogba but can he bring histoplasmosis form all the time like tevez. I'm not sure he can like anelka he can be an enigma. I think Mancini wants a team of professional robots like ya ya. The maverick is not a luxury he wants to adopt. Good post though as usual.

It's no so much about agreeing or disagreeing on the aspect of a transfer. I personally don't see him going because Mancini has had a full window to ship him out without action, and Ibra has only just gone who's another "Mancini player" who has been consistently offered to us for a year.

I think I just get annoyed at people who spout out cliches and stereotypes on players, especially ones that were made by rival fans. Ade is lazy. Tevez is a headless chicken. Barry is slow. Viera is crap. Bellamy is a trouble causer.

Most of these don't actually match the evidence, but it gets trotted out anyway as a way to justify an opinion that was already formed before they even got to their seat. There were points last season where I was getting annoyed at Ade for running TOO much, especially down the channels from our own half.

There are different types of players in the world. For example, Ibra and Berbatov are two others who seem to have a reputation built on fuck all. Ibra scored better than 1 in 2 last season, which was blighted by injury. Berbatov got 1 in 3 whilst playing a far deeper role than usual. He also has consistently the best touch in football, right up there with Messi and got more than a few assists.

But everybody just 'knows' that they are all lazy and shit, so they get bombarded with abuse by people who I swear must never watch these people play. This is one of my annoyances about how football is today, it condenses what is a highly technical and complex sport down to worn out cliches and arguments. Obviously, the fans also pick up on these and start using them themselves. Before we know it, we're all talking shit and the only people who know what's going on is the people in the game. This is why Roy fucking Keane can get a job as a pundit. This is also why the most successful manager at the moment is a guy who used to be a schoolteacher and never played professionally, followed by a Glaswegian docker, and a former economics lecturer.

The Last Word was actually a help to this, as it tried to show tactics 101, so to speak. Unfortunately as the show got a bit more complex, they had to dumb things down into the same arguments. Zonal vs Man marking (Zonal by the way, statistically, man is NOWHERE NEAR as effective), 'get touch tight', 'Scholes can pass', 'player X should have tracked run of player Y'. Thus the whole cycle starts again.

Sky aren't ruining the game, but their reliance on these shit stereotypes is certainly dumbing it down to the extent where many fans now don't really know much about the game at all simply because they rely on them for accurate information.

Rant over, sorry :P
