Why am i the only person who doesnt think Wayne Bridge is a BIG signing??

i would of much rather seen us going for phillip lahm rather than a player who has hardly played in 5 years!!

I don't think he is a big signing. I do think he is a very good one though.

To be fair he has made 124 starts for Chelsea in all comps. Not great, but he's hardly been sitting on the backside for his whole time there.

They signed him in 2003 wasnt it? Not bad appearances for 5 years I guess.

Based on our current failings he is a big signing. We only need to make another 6 signings in my opinion...

He isnt exactly the BIG signing we've all been fiending for, the BIG signing that is now looking a bit unlikely, the BIG signing Hughes will have trouble managing

BUT

He's light years ahead of our other LB options and is a welcome addition to our squad no matter how you look at it. He wasnt getting into the Chelsea squad due to Ashley Cole who, I'm loathe to admit, is world class. For where we are now and where we want to be Bridge is more than capable.

We needed a real LB and we've got one.
